In Old Riga the new monument
In topography of Old city has appeared a new double-exit courtyard with a monument. Major overhaul of the multi-storey house located on street Valnju has come to the end. The object has changed in the cardinal image. In an internal court yard there was a restored statue of the Gold knight. Besides the court yard became checkpoints - through it it is possible to get on street Zirgu. In addition to all convenience the opportunity to admire and the Gold knight is given to tenants and tourists. This monument- an exact copy of creation of architect Wilhelm Neumann and sculptor Augusta Foltsa. The Monument-column, erected in 1897, is no time decorated a crossroads street Smilshu and present blvrd. Basteja
