NATO Big Band concert in the Congress Palace

November in Latvia will pass under the sign of NATO. At the beginning of the month the festival Rigas Ritmi in cooperation with Latvian Armed Forces November 8 at 7 PM in the Congress Palace invites everybody to th ecocnert of NATO Big Band.    NA­TO Big Band led by Scott Headley represents the Nordic Transatlantic Organization and the Organization of Sup­re­me Headquartets Al­lied Powers Eu­ro­pe (SHA­PE).   The collective consists of 15 musicians from USA, Italy, Germany, Norway and Latvia. The Big Band has given concerts in all around Europe and even in Africa. It is a welcome guest of many international festivals and competitions, for example Montreux Jazz Fes­ti­val, North Se­a Jazz Fes­ti­val, Bel­ga Jazz Fes­ti­val, Cork Jazz Fes­ti­val, The Brus­sels Jazz Ma­rat­hon, Aix Jazz Fes­ti­val  and other.   Programme: Golden Era music for jazz orchestras. Music from Co­unt Ba­sie and Glenn Mil­ler until the contemporary composers Bob Min­tzer, Rob McCon­nell, Matt Har­ris un Tom Ku­bis.
