HOG European Rally 2009

The Annual European Harley Davidson Owners' Rally takes place in Jurmala 25-28 June 2009.

International rally with American cars

This year is the fourth year running, that "The American auto club" will bring together old and new American car owners from Latvia and the neighboring countries for the Spring meeting in Jurmala. Following earlier events the interest to the activities of this event has only increased.

Already the first rally in 2006. was attended by 250 guests, who arrived in 112 cars. In 2007 the number of cars was 132, but the number of guests around 400. Last May 2008. year, we took nearly 500 guests with 164 cars.

The event will run for Society "The American auto club" 5-year anniversary, and at the same time the club will have 6th season's opening, therefore, this year's event will be held "picnic" style and all this time the really nice cruise will be truly impressive. Participants are encouraged to take tents, grills, good mood, and all the necessary picnic.

All interested parties as members, or simply spectators are invited on the May 23 at 11.00 to Jurmala.

DEPECHE MODE TOUR of the UNIVERSE

A new and beautiful tradition in honour of Latvia's 90th Birthday is starting this year in Rīga - the Staro Rīga lighting festival. Unique lit up objects of art, specially illuminated building facades, squares and bridges constituting more than 40 objects in total, will be on view in the streets and parks of the capital city's centre from the 14th to the 18th of November, motivating people to see familiar places in a different light. link www.lv90.lv
